The present Hotel Fortunen, which is the fourth, has been built in 1937. It has the most wonderful location in Denmark's most famous and visited forest - the idyllic Dyrehave. With its more than 300 years as a protected forest and animal sanctuary, it has been the favorite destinations of kings and Copenhageners for generations. At Hotel Fortunen you only live 15 Km. from the center of Copenhagen and from some of our rooms you're able to see the stag and deer jumping and peacefully grass. Within 2-5 km, you'll be able to find Bakken which is the oldest amusementpark in the world, beautiful lakes with canals at Mølleåen, a beach at Bellevue, a shopping centre at Lyngby Storcenter and cinemas at Kinopalæet, all located in and around Lyngby.
