You'll find Old Murphy’s Irish flair in the center of Saarbrucken on the old Baroque St. Johanner Market. If you enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Irish Pubs then you'll feel right at home at the bar. Whiskys and over 30 international "Bier"s: You can count on a good selection of Irish and Scotish Whiskys as well as few Bourbons. Out of the over 30 international "Bier"s the favorite is always Guinness but it's always good to try something new. That's why every month we host a "Beer of the Month". Just for the heck of it! Celtic Roots: You know your in for a some good craic with these guys and the proprietor Austin Murphy is on a mission to please. When Sports are on the 5 massive HD-TVs the bar fills up with fans (often from both teams); ever Thursday is Karaoke and every one has a chance to be a star for a night; Monday's Pub Quiz is a great place to get to know or join other "Quiz-Teams". Somewhere between Folk and Hard Rock: Or concert cellar is waiting with its sandstone walls and dark wooden tables for the music to start after 9 in the evening. It can get loud! Always free of entry fee you can catch some great gigs here. Angus-Beef Burgers: The Dublin-Burger with crispy, slightly smokey bacon and melted Cheddar is a guests favorite. Premium quality succulent irish meat is used for the Irish Stew and on Saturdays for the Steaks as well as for the burgers. YOu can also order you burger „Veggie“, with a Cajun-vegetable-patty instead. Fish’n’Chips and All Day Breakfast: Old Murphy‘s Fish’n’Chips is a regular favorite on Fridaysand the All Day Irish Breakfast with Irish Sausages, Baked Beans, Bacon, Toast, Mushrooms and Grill Tomatoe may save the day!. Don't forget to check out our home made cackes. In summer it's all happening out on the Market on our Terracce, with a prime view of Saarbruckens Baroque ambience and lively Markt-Szene. Green Green Grass of Home: Irlands national coulour is a deep green grenn. It's not suprising then that we painted most of the walls with it! Take a browse around the various ornaments from "home" – pictures and maps, small vitrins or Irish Rail Tokens (they all tell a story) and are often brought back from friends and guests, who also enjoy collecting as much as the Irish. Green is also the colour of the traditional lucky clover and will help you find our favorites in the menu. Looking to speak English: If your looking to have a bit of a banter with the staff about the Bushmill Single Malt or a Laphroaig Whisky then you're in the right place. The whole crew speaks english. Of course we also speak German and French sometimes ;-)
