2 Glockenstrasse
Trier, Rhineland-palatinate 54290
„ZUR GLOCKE NR.2“ "TO THE BELL NO. 2" Our bistro restaurant is located in the core of a late medieval half-timbered house. It is located in the historic Glockenstrasse No. 2 In our house "Zur Glocke" which gave the street its name, there used to be a bell foundry. In 1885, large quantities of metal residues and ashes were found during work in front of the house. However, most of the house dates from the early 20th century. Century. The oldest part of the house is the left ground floor area. The door lintel shows the following inscription: ("Called the bell, dilapidated and rotten, therefore demolished, rebuilt from the heart of this earth dirty with dust, united from two buildings into one, yet pressed into the narrow space of the country, I feel transformed. However, luck left me the same name. 1498").
