In May 2015, Schweinske Ottensen was so heavily damaged by a fire that a complete rebuild was required. The team around owner Christopher Stapel saw the catastrophe as a new chance: Following reconstruction, the restaurant reopened with a bright, fresh and modern look and, specific to the Ottensen location, a focus on regional, seasonal and sustainable cuisine.
