Excellent Czech cuisine, great atmosphere and best beer in Brno. The famous Stopek’s Beer House has always been one of the pillars of Czech social and cultural life in Brno. There has been a pub here since the second half of the 19th century. It became famous with the arrival of the new owner, the genius Jaroslav Stopka, who took over the original Jonak’s Beer House in 1910. Period advertisements always declared that the best Pilsner beer could be had at Stopka’s. The pub retained its character and atmosphere even after its extensive modernisation. The author of the facade of the beer house is Czech painter and graphic artist Lada Novak (1865 – 1944), a well-know Prague bohemian and also the author of the decorations on the U Fleku Pub in Prague, was also repaired and renovated. Pilsner Urquell and dark Velkopopovicky Kozel and Birell Light are all on tap.
