The Restaurant and Bar WERK 8 is located in an ancient industrial machine factory in the district called "Gundeldingen" in the very south of Basel. It is spacious enough to seat 140 people and our high-class cocktail bar serves another 80 people. There is no separation between dining room and bar. As temperature rises, we open our terrace with an extra 70 seats. Our guests can enjoy the whole menu everywhere in the location, whether food or drinks. The kitchen is simple and yet inventive, classic yet modern, made with fresh and seasonal ingredients. On top of the four lunch menus, there is an urban street food menu served in the evenings, with inventive, simply prepared dishes. Large or small apero's, flying dinners or seated banquets can be held meanwhile in this very lively WERK 8 environment. The impressive bar is an eye-catcher as well as a working place (giving the place its name referred to a German wordplay) for delicate drinks, creativity, and classics. The bartenders take care of everything that enlivens the guests' souls and cools down their throats; passionately and with an enormous know how. The wide range of spirits sits alongside house made infusions and syrups, providing everything our bartenders need for creating fantastic drinks.
