Musee Romain de Lausanne-Vidy

Artlab presents temporary and long-term exhibitions that bring the world of science and the Humanities closer together. It also houses a Montreux Jazz Café in which it is possible to consult the festival's audio-visual archives. Opened in the fall of 2016, the building was designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

Nearly a thousand years of history have shaped the Château de La Sarraz since its construction in 1049 by the House of Grandson. Located in the center of remarkable sites such as the former Cluniac abbey of Romainmôtier or the Roman mosaics of Orbe, the castle is ideally placed for its promotion of soft tourism. Like Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Geneva and the former Saint-Gothard Hospice in Airolo, the Château de La Sarraz is one of three Swiss sites to have obtained the European Heritage label because of its significant value.
