The Oasis of Experience in the Limmattal! The impressive monastery complex is located on a fairy-tale river idyll and invites you to linger. The Limmattal between Zurich and Baden has been increasingly shaped by the founding of the Fahr Monastery in 1130 and its development. Today, the monastery is inhabited by around twenty women who shape their lives according to the rules of Saint Benedict. The name "Kloster Fahr" derives from the ferry that crossed the Limmat at this location, which still operates on beautiful Sundays and holidays. We are pleased to run the agricultural operation at this historic site. Through our diverse range of experiences, we aim to make animals and agriculture tangible for both young and old.
