Alte Metzg Boutique-Pension & Hostel

The "Alte Metzg" is the somewhat different accommodation in the village of Appenzell. In the over 500-year-old house, the guesthouse with six lovingly furnished rooms and the hostel with two multi-bed rooms invites you to a relaxing and carefree stay. The entire building was newly renovated in 2021. The cozy parlor offers space to stay, cooking can be done in the kitchen, the large terrace offers space to relax and the in-house sauna contributes toward your well-being. Whether hiking enthusiasts or lovers, large families or city dwellers, Appenzell and the Alpstein offer an ideal setting for a short trip or long-term stay. For groups and families, we are happy to set up the house or individual areas exclusively.
