Voix de la Montagne
Voix de la Montagne is a mixed choir of approximately sixty enthusiasts founded in August 2002, originally under the auspices of the Université de Montréal, and has been independently thriving since June 2004. The choir attracts passionate singers of all ages and backgrounds, rich in repertoire that spans classic choral masterpieces as well as contemporary musical worlds.
Under the adept direction of Bruno Dufresne, the choir has earned recognition, including an honorable mention at the 2006 national amateur choir competition organized by Radio-Canada. They have also participated in prestigious events, such as performing with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal in a concert featuring Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and producing their first compact disc of choral works by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.
