Bourgie Hall is a 444-seat concert venue set in the restored Erskine and American heritage church. With high-quality acoustics and exceptional decor that incorporates 20 Tiffany stained glass windows, it hosts some 160 concerts a year, ranging from classical music to jazz, from world music to now. The hall’s dimensions make it ideal for the needs of chamber-music ensembles and string orchestras.

It is between 1907 and 1909 that this magnificent building, fronted by six distinctive Corinthian columns, was built in the neoclassical architectural style by Pearson and Darling for the Canadian Bank of Commerce. Later known as the CIBC, the Bank remained there until 2010. In 2012, while staying true to the history of the building and highlighting its breathtaking architecture, the building was transformed into the perfect venue to hold prestigious events. The St-James Theatre was born !
