The Regroupement Mamit Innuat Conseil Tribal represents the interests of three Innu communities located in the extreme East of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The term "Mamit" in Innu language means East, while "Innuat" translates to Humans, collectively referring to the Humans of the East.
