**Maison Pierre-Lacroix is unfortunately closed for the season because of the damage caused by the spring floods.** A journey through time in 200 years of history at Maison Pierre-Lacroix, the oldest stone house in Beauce. This residence built in 1821 will plunge you to the time of Pierre Lacroix, the blacksmith of Lord Taschereau. Having kept its old charm, you will discover a unique and well preserved place in which several facets of life in Beauce since the 19th century will be told. From the Chaudiere river's debacles to traditional crafts, family life and architecture, this guided tour is a must for your stay in the region. A shop in the former general store offers visitors the opportunity to acquire local crafts and visual arts creations. A vast selection of paintings, knits, drawings, stained glass, photos, quilts, jewels, sculptures, agri-food products, etc. At the first granary, a unique exhibition of the artifacts of Cable-Axion, the largest cable operator in Quebec.
