Arche L'etoile
L'Arche de la Capitale-Nationale, founded in 1976 in the St-Sauveur district of Québec, provides a community living environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The organization supports 20 individuals, who are cared for by assistants living with them and fostering a familial atmosphere.
The mission of L'Arche focuses on recognizing the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities through mutual relationships, creating a responsive community that respects foundational values, and working towards building a more humane society. With four residential homes and a day center, L'Arche de la Capitale-Nationale is part of a larger international network that includes eight communities in Québec and over 152 worldwide.
