The Prince Edward Island Hairdressers Association, incorporated in 1959 under the Hairdressers Act, serves the hairdressing profession by overseeing the licensing of hairdressers, inspecting salons, and promoting industry standards. With a membership of over 900 individuals and 212 salons, the Association is governed by a nine-member Council who provide annual reports to its members on their activities and stewardship.
