The Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island is housed in Province House, a National Historic Site that has served as the home of the PEI legislature since 1847, making it the second oldest active legislative building in Canada. Currently undergoing extensive restoration, the assembly meets in the Honourable George Coles Building, which also accommodates caucus and staff offices. In addition to Province House and the Honourable George Coles Building, the assembly precinct includes the J. Angus MacLean Building, which houses the Legislative Assembly's Library and Research Service, and the St. Paul's Anglican Church Rectory, where the Office of the Speaker and Office of the Clerk are temporarily located.
