In 2009, Suncor Energy Inc.'s marketing under the Sunoco brand in Ontario merged with Petro-Canada, resulting in the formation of Canada's premier integrated energy company. As a consequence of this merger, Sunoco stations were converted to Petro-Canada stations in 2010.
