Learn how this Canal – once boasting the longest lock in the world and the first one powered by electricity – allowed ships, and now pleasure craft, to bypass the rapids caused by a change in elevation in the St. Marys River. Free entry to our Visitor Centre, gift shop, washrooms, parking, walking and biking trails. Fat Bikes available for hourly rental. Full guided site tours available for a small fee.
