Long Lake 58 FN High School
The Long Lake 58 First Nation Education Authority, established in 1997, serves the educational needs of the Long Lake 58 community through its schools, including Migizi Wazisin Elementary School and Migizi Miigwanan Secondary School. The curriculum is deeply rooted in Anishinaabe culture, incorporating the Medicine Wheel and the Seven Grandfather Teachings to foster a holistic learning environment for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
In addition to academic programming, the schools emphasize community involvement through sports, cultural gatherings, and seasonal camps, promoting social development and well-being among students. The Long Lake 58 Early Learning Centre complements this mission by providing quality care and educational experiences for young children, focusing on belonging, engagement, and expression within a family-style program.
