Designated by the city of Mississauga in 1994 for its architectural, cultural landscape, and historical value, the house is associated with the pioneer settlers of Mississauga, particularly the Leslie family.
Originally built by John Leslie, the house has been carefully preserved and moved to its present location on an apple farm owned by the city of Mississauga.
