Food Sharing Program
The Food Sharing Project, established in 1985, is a charitable organization dedicated to providing nutritious food to students across Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox Addington. By ensuring that healthy food is accessible in a stigma-free environment, the program supports students' academic engagement and social interactions.
Currently serving 88 schools across four school boards, the Food Sharing Project delivers over 12,000 meals or snacks each week, impacting approximately 16,000 students annually. With the help of dedicated volunteers, the organization packs and distributes over 20,000 food items weekly, addressing food insecurity and promoting student well-being.
