Children's Discovery Centre is Toronto's sole children's museum crafted and staffed by early childhood development experts. Aimed at children aged 0 to 6, it offers a unique space for playful learning, creation, exploration, and imaginative play. Located at 45 Strachan Avenue in downtown Toronto, the Centre's 20,000 sq.ft. building housed 10 Discovery Zones where over 20,000 parents and children enjoyed educational experiences during the 14-month pilot project.
The Centre's philosophy centers on providing a digital and screen-free environment for young children to engage in learning through play. From riding tricycles in Mini City to painting in Art Hive, children immersed themselves in a range of activities designed to spark their creativity and joy. The Centre aims to create a space where children can be themselves, fostering a love for learning and exploration in a nurturing environment.
As the Centre embarks on finding a permanent home, memories of laughter and learning continue to resonate. From building spaceships in Imagination Station to playing veterinarian in Pet Vet, the Centre's diverse activities delighted young visitors. The team looks forward to welcoming families back in the future, with plans to create more unforgettable experiences for children to grow, imagine, and play.
