Casara North Bay

Casara North Bay, also known as BAYSAR, is an integral part of the Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association (OSARVA) and Air Search and Rescue, with its headquarters situated in North Bay. For over 30 years, BAYSAR has played a crucial role in numerous air and ground searches within the North Bay region and its surroundings, earning commendations from law enforcement agencies and the Canadian military.

Volunteers at BAYSAR have actively participated in a variety of air search missions, including flying alongside Royal Canadian Air Force SAR C-130 Hercules and Griffon helicopters, as well as utilizing their civilian aircraft. These operations have extended as far as Thunder Bay to the west, North Eastern Quebec to the east, the outskirts of Toronto to the south, and James Bay to the north.
