The Schoolhouse Cafe

A Social Enterprise run by a registered non-profit Society, and completely staffed by volunteers, we are located in a former classroom of the Digby Neck Consolidated School, and a portion of our profits go to support the school and other community endeavours. We serve specialty coffee brewed from beans roasted by Sissiboo Coffee Roaster in nearby Bear River. Our foods are prepared fresh daily from local and organic ingredients, whenever possible and we do our best to offer vegetarian and gluten friendly options. Our menu includes delicious, fresh Haddock Cream Chowder made daily, a soup of the day, a variety of panini made on our own bread, and our famous cinnamon buns, along with a selection of other scrumptious treats. We also offer free wifi, and information on local events. In addition, we operate a small gallery featuring local, professional artists. We are truly a community experience.
