The Sydney and Louisburg Railway Museum's purpose is to share, celebrate, and preserve the story of the S&L Railway and the rich history of the greater Louisbourg area. Explore artefacts throughout the three buldings on site, including the main station and the freight shed which are both original buildings from 1895 and a "round house" to house a 2nd class passenger car from 1881. Our rolling stock includes two passenger cars, first-class coach car second-class coach car van (caboose), freight car and an oil tanker. Lots of other items depicting the history of Louisbourg, including shipwrecks, industrial and fishing history. Admission by donation and gift shop on site.
