St John's Cemetery

St. John's Cemetery and Columbarium, established in 1839, is a community burial ground located in the heart of Halifax Regional Municipality on the Halifax Peninsula. Owned and operated by the parish of St. John's Anglican Church, it welcomes individuals of all faiths to purchase burial and committal rights.

The cemetery takes pride in its meticulous care and maintenance, with interments available year-round except on holidays and days with extreme weather conditions. The columbarium, completed in 1994, is one of only two of its style in the metro area, offering visitation access 12 hours a day, 365 days a year.
