Sissiboo Landing

A place to celebrate Weymouth's past and future. An information center as well as retail area with locally made items and free WI FI. In our upstairs area for 2017 we will featuring exhibits from our five founding cultures: Mi'kmaq, Acadian, White and Black Loyalist, who worked alongside the Stehelin family of France who came to our area 125 years ago from France to carve a new life for themselves. This is story has captured the imagination of many as they learn how this family made a home and sawmill community 20kms in the back country which was able to produce electricity some 20 years before Weymouth had any power. The Electric City is just one of the stories that shaped the history of Weymouth.
