Annapolis Valley First Nation Gas Bar, located in Cambridge, NS, is part of the Annapolis Valley First Nation (AVFN) community. Established in 1880, AVFN is situated in the picturesque Annapolis Valley Nova Scotia, within the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people. With a focus on education and economic development, AVFN aims to achieve self-sufficiency while fostering collaborations with neighboring communities in Nova Scotia.

AVFN boasts ownership of 300 acres of pristine land in St. Croix, Nova Scotia, characterized by old-growth Acadian Forest. Additionally, the acquisition of the 711-acre Webster Farm has enabled the community to create numerous employment opportunities, particularly in cultivating high-quality produce like strawberries, raspberries, beans, and wheat. The community is on a journey of cultural revival, aiming to preserve and revitalize its language and traditions for future generations.

Historically renowned for its skilled basket makers using Black ash, AVFN continues its traditional practices of hunting and fishing in Mi’kma’ki.
