Our museum opens yearly from early July to mid Sept. Drop by for a guided tour around our historic building, which was originally built as a Customs House in 1870. We will share stories and information about Pirate Peter Easton, the fishery, local merchants, John Munn and his family of shipbuilders, and Amelia Earhart, who began her solo flight across the Atlantic from Harbour Grace, and so much more. Email us to book a tour outside of regular hours - conceptionbaymuseum@outlook.com or check out our awesome website or our Digital Museums Canada project, entitled "Alone Among the Stars", which tells the story of our historic airstrip, which still operates today.
