The Association francophone des municipalités du Nouveau-Brunswick (AFMNB) represents and supports strong local governance to promote the development of innovative, prosperous, and sustainable communities while contributing to the vitality of the Francophonie. Comprising 30 francophone and bilingual municipalities across six major regions, the AFMNB serves nearly 389,000 residents, reflecting a significant portion of New Brunswick's population.

For over 25 years, the AFMNB has managed the Atlantic component of the Young Canada Works program at the request of Canadian Heritage, focusing on various key issues such as cultural heritage, climate change, and local governance. The organization actively engages in strategic planning and advocacy to ensure the continued growth and recognition of francophone communities in the province.
