Vanderveens Greenhouses Ltd, established in 1970 by Jack and Louwina Vanderveen, has evolved from a small market gardening business into a prominent greenhouse operation in Carman, Manitoba. With 20 acres of greenhouses, the company specializes in producing a variety of bedding plants, indoor potted plants, and seasonal flowers, supplying florists and garden centers across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and northern Ontario.

Currently managed by the next generation, Vanderveens Greenhouses employs approximately 15 full-time and up to 50 part-time staff, who are dedicated to growing quality plants and providing exceptional service. The business utilizes innovative heating methods, including biomass heating, to maintain optimal growing conditions throughout the year, ensuring a diverse selection of plants for the community during the Christmas, Easter, and spring bedding plant seasons.
