Trauma & Abuse Counselling Centre
The Trauma & Abuse Counselling Centre, run by the North Island Survivor's Healing Society, has been a pillar of support in Campbell River since 1993. It offers a safe haven for individuals of all backgrounds seeking therapy, with a focus on trauma survivors and those grappling with post-traumatic stress symptoms.
Accredited counsellors at the Centre cater to both newcomers to therapy and those with prior counselling experiences, aiding in the resolution and alleviation of trauma-related adversities. Each person stepping through the Centre's doors is met with unwavering respect, equality, and a commitment to confidentiality, honor, and sensitivity.
Located on the unceded territory of the Ligwiłda’xw, We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum, and Kwiakah First Nations, the Centre operates with a profound sense of gratitude and reverence towards these indigenous communities. It proudly offers an inclusive space dedicated to healing and acknowledges the enduring struggles of the local population.
