Terrace Community Forest
The Terrace Community Forest (TCF) is a private entity owned by the City of Terrace and governed by an appointed Board that directs the General Manager in managing the forest tenure. Established in 2005, the TCF operates with an allowable annual cut of 30,000 m³ across its three operating areas: Shames, Amesbury, Deep Creek, and Kitimat.
TCF's mission is to create long-term employment while enhancing timber, wildlife, and biodiversity values within the community forest. Their guiding principles emphasize community engagement, environmental stewardship, social and economic benefits, and the promotion of safety and innovation among forestry workers.
