Enjoy the restored Tram Car 1220, originally built in 1912, and the largest artefact in the City of Richmond’s museum collection. Housed in a building inspired by the architecture of the first Steveston tram station, Tram Car 1220 now rests on its original rail tracks. Nicknamed the “Sockeye Special”, the interurban tram service carried workers from Vancouver to Steveston to work in the canneries, from 1905 to 1958.
