SOLID is a non-profit organization based in Victoria, BC, that offers a range of support services to address the challenges faced by individuals affected by poverty, drug use, and homelessness in the community. Established in 2007 with a single employee, SOLID has since grown to a team of over 100 dedicated staff members, supported by a network of 3000 community members.

Operating through partnerships with Island Health, BC Housing, and the First Nations Health Authority, SOLID provides a variety of essential services including overdose prevention, outreach to homeless encampments, housing support, health access, detox/treatment programs, and indigenous-led cultural initiatives. Notably, all services are delivered by individuals with lived experience of street life, providing a unique perspective and form of vocational therapy for both staff and volunteers.

Committed to building relationships with local indigenous nations, SOLID strives to ensure that its community work aligns with the needs of indigenous peoples and settlers in the region.
