The Wells Gray Search and Rescue Society, based in Clearwater, British Columbia, is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to providing timely and effective search and rescue responses. Comprised of unpaid professional volunteers, the organization assists various agencies, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and BC Ambulance, while also promoting education and awareness of safe outdoor practices.

Serving an area of approximately 10,000 square kilometers, including the popular Wells Gray Park, which attracts over 100,000 visitors annually, WGSAR is committed to community support. The group is also available to assist other search and rescue teams throughout the province when needed.
