Sayward Futures Society (SFS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the sustainable operation of the Kelsey Bay Wharf, extensive trail networks, and outdoor recreational opportunities in the Sayward region. SFS owns and manages the Kelsey Bay Wharf, home to the Oceanview Gallery & Cafe and the Sayward Visitors Centre in Al’s Room, honoring local conservationist Al Wright.

The Kelsey Bay Wharf, overseen by SFS, offers a picturesque setting along the Johnstone Strait with abundant marine life visible from the dock, including orcas, humpback whales, and sea lions. Visitors can fish for salmon and halibut from the wharf, with the option to rent fishing rods from the society.

SFS operates the Oceanview Gallery & Cafe as a social enterprise to generate funds for maintaining the wharf, visitors centre, and community events like the renowned Kusam Klimb. The gallery and cafe showcase a range of locally crafted items, from artisanal beverages to handmade jewelry and art, creating a unique experience for patrons.
