North Coast Skeena First Nations
The North Coast Skeena First Nations Stewardship Society (NCSFNSS) was established in 2005 to facilitate collaboration among First Nations people on the British Columbia North Coast and lower Skeena River, focusing on projects that provide shared value and tangible benefits to member and partner Nations. Its member Nations include Gitgaat First Nation, Kitsumkalum First Nation, Gitxaala First Nation, and Kitselas First Nation.
NCSFNSS supports its member and partner Nations through two primary programs: Fisheries and Cumulative Effects. Additionally, it is involved in initiatives like the Great Bear Sea, a partnership with the government of British Columbia and 18 First Nations aimed at developing marine management plans for a vast ocean area extending from the Alaska border to Campbell River on Vancouver Island.
