The Lilwat Nation is a progressive First Nations community located 7 km north of Pemberton, British Columbia, with a membership of nearly 2,275 individuals, approximately 1,490 of whom reside within the community. Committed to self-determination, the Nation focuses on exerting control over its traditional territory and resources while fostering economic development in sectors such as retail, forestry, agriculture, energy projects, and construction.
Governed by an elected chief, a cultural chief, and an 11-person council, the Lilwat Nation emphasizes transparency and best practices in governance.
