Mascot Gold Mine Tours

The historic Mascot Mine is currently closed while construction work is underway in 2023. For safety reasons public access is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. New information will be posted on our website as it becomes available. Our 4.5-hour tour will take you to the Mascot Gold Mine, perched high on a cliff overlooking the Similkameen Valley. You will explore historic mine buildings, find out how gold was mined here and experience what it was like to live at the mine. You’ll enter the main portal for approximately 200m where you will be treated to our light and sound effects show and experience what it is like underground. The view will take your breath away – but the stairs might too! To access the mine site we’ll be hiking down a short dirt road and descending and ascending 583 stairs. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots, and bring water and snacks for the duration of the tour. The tunnel is chilly so remember to bring a sweater.
