Darts Hill Garden Park in Surrey, British Columbia, is a unique horticultural gem that has blossomed over 75 years, thanks to the dedication and vision of Francisca Darts. Together with her husband Edwin, Francisca transformed a logged piece of land into an award-winning orchard before shaping it into the diverse garden it is today.
With a remarkable collection of mature tree and shrub species from around the world, Darts Hill Garden stands out for its botanical richness. In 1994, the Darts couple generously donated their 7.5-acre garden to the City of Surrey for the community's enjoyment and as a hub for plant preservation and development.
Managed by the non-profit Darts Hill Garden Conservancy Trust Society, this botanical haven offers guided tours, memberships, and educational experiences for visitors of all ages. Children can explore the garden's magical pathways, while adults can revel in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest's flora in this serene and educational setting.
