B C Mental Health Centre
The Penticton District Hospice Society, established in June 1981, aims to enhance end-of-life care in the community through advocacy and fundraising. Instrumental to its founding was Dr. Jack Chritchley, who envisioned a dedicated hospice facility to support individuals and families during palliative care journeys.
In 1998, this vision came to fruition with the opening of Moog Friends Hospice House, supported significantly by donations from the community and Andy Moog's Foundation. While Interior Health oversees daily operations, the Penticton District Hospice Society continues to provide essential funding for services and programming at the hospice, enriching the care experience for all involved.
