The University of Alberta Botanic Garden (formerly the Devonian Botanic Garden) is an award-winning visitor attraction located 10 minutes SW of Edmonton, with cultivated gardens and plant collections, indoor showhouses and extensive natural areas. Highlights of the Garden, which was established in 1959, include the spectacular Aga Khan Garden, beautiful Kurimoto Japanese Garden; indoor showhouses; numerous plant collections and more. Open to visitors throughout the year, with periodic closures between seasons. Hours vary - check website for details.
