Theatre Prospero Assn
Theatre Prospero Association, based in Amiskwaciwskahikan (Edmonton, Alberta), is dedicated to creating and fostering mythic, classical, and poetic theatre for students and the community through productions, residencies, and festivals. Over the past 20 years, they have engaged with more than 100,000 students and teachers across Alberta and Canada through touring virtual shows and educational residencies.
The organization acknowledges its presence on Treaty Six Territory, a traditional gathering place for many Indigenous peoples, and honors the history, languages, ceremonies, and cultures of the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Anishinaabe, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, Métis, Inuit, and others. Theatre Prospero continuously seeks partnerships to enrich the diversity and extend the reach of its artistic work.
