Seniors Outreach Program
The Brooks and District Seniors Outreach Society, established in 1986, was founded in response to a recognized need for a Seniors Outreach program identified in a 1984 survey. Over the years, the organization has grown significantly, now boasting a board of nine members and approximately 130 volunteers dedicated to supporting the local senior community.
Initially located in the Alberta Social Services Building, the program has evolved to offer a variety of essential services, including Meals on Wheels, home cleaning, and wellness clinics. With a membership that has expanded from 200 in 1990 to around 400 today, the Society continues to strive for the well-being and engagement of seniors in Brooks, Alberta.
