The Red Deer Archives serves as the official repository for the City of Red Deer, acquiring, preserving, and making accessible a wide array of municipal and community records of historical significance. Visitors can explore over 1,000 linear metres of textual records, 100,000 photographs, and 7,000 maps and drawings that chronicle the area's rich history from 1850 to the present.
In addition to housing valuable historical documents, the Archives invites the public to conduct research and deposit their own historic records, reflecting the experiences of individuals, families, and organizations within the community.
