As a hub for tourism, Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village is home to a Western Canadian frontier village, Visitor Information Center and The Country Store. Each heritage cabin is displayed with intriguing artifacts from the pioneer era. The Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village was established in 1966, and preserves Southwestern Alberta's vibrant pioneer heritage. Over the years, the efforts of countless volunteers and employees has seen the museum grow to include over 30 buildings teeming with artifacts. The open concept and self guided museum means you are free to wander through six acres of beautiful gardens, all the heritage buildings! Each of the buildings in the Village is authentic, restored, and furnished with period furniture, and artifacts.
