Edmonton Community Adult Learning
Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association (ECALA) is dedicated to facilitating literacy and foundational learning programs for adults in Edmonton, funded by the Alberta Government. Since its establishment in 1998, ECALA has invested in community-based adult learning, increasing its annual investment to $2 million in 2018.
ECALA operates with a vision of a community where everyone can learn and grow, while acknowledging its presence on the traditional land of the First Peoples, originally named Amiskwaciw skahikan. The organization is recognized as a Granting Council under the Community Adult Learning Program Policy by the Alberta Government.
