For almost thirty years, Buchanan’s Chop House and Whisky Bar has served contemporary food in a classic Calgary room. Michael and Carol Buchanan opened this neighbourhood icon in 1988, and the result is a family run, West Coast style restaurant that is true to the Chop house tradition. Buchanan’s proudly serves Alberta beef, pastas, soups and sauces – all made from scratch. In the grand tradition of the chop house, they are proud to offer fresh fish, chowder, a world-class wine list, and one of Canada’s most extensive whisky lists to round out your experience.
