Bigstone Human Resources Development

Bigstone Cree Nation (BCN) is a collective of three communities—Calling Lake, Chipewyan Lake, and Wabasca—located in Alberta, Canada. Established under the Treaty 8 agreement in 1899, BCN is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the spirit and intent of the treaty while supporting the growth and governance of its approximately five thousand members.

Headquartered in Wabasca, BCN encompasses five reserves and is recognized as part of the Woodland Cree People. The organization focuses on various aspects of community development, including economic growth, education, health services, and cultural preservation, ensuring a sustainable future for its members.
